Brief Bio:
Ms. Abigail Wacker graduated magna cum laude from Haverford College in 2010, where she earned a B.A. in english with a minor in Theater. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in April 2010. As an undergraduate, Ms. Wacker was involved in a number of theatrical productions as an actor, director, and technical crew member. Ms. Wacker also worked as a German teaching assistant, sang with and served as President of the Oxford Blues, Haverford's oldest all female a cappella group, and served as a co-instructor for the Haverford martial arts club. She spent spring of her junior year at the University of Hyderabad in Hyderabad, India. While an undergraduate, Ms. Wacker's summers were spent working with the Hawthorne Valley Farm Visiting Students Program—a farm and nature education program for children and teens. After graduating from Haverford, Ms. Wacker attended Headlong Performance Institute, a post-baccalaureate performance art program, worked as a literary intern at Philadelphia's Wilma Theater, and volunteered as an ESL tutor with the South Philadelphia Literacy Partnership.

As a Fulbright-Nehru English Teaching Assistant Ms. Wacker hopes to hone her skills as an educator, and to impart her love for language to the students. She also plans to run a youth theater program, with the aim of promoting cultural understanding.
